The x pipes is ok but you might as well buy a full exhaust. All the exhausts sounds good but AWE and MRBP sounds the best. So i bought MBRP exhaust for my 2024 mustang gt👍

I really want to change my exhaust note up on my 24 GT Non-Active Exhaust, but I really can't decide what I want to go with. I think I for sure want something with an H Pipe rather than the X Pipe. I just like that lower exhaust note that isn't necessarily as loud, but definitely has some bass to it. I just really don't know what I want to do for the rest of it. I thought about doing a Borla S Type Axle back, but I have nothing to see the sound of it because that is kind of a weird, niche setup. Would it be better to just get a full cat-back exhaust system and just try to find one with an H Pipe? Any recommendations on this would be greatly appreciated. Not in any rush to do it, just want to know what I am going to be doing so I can plan for it a little better. EDIT: I live in an apartment complex so like I don't really want to go with something that is going to blow the windows out on a cold start, but I also want something a little louder than stock.

Wow...good vid, at least until you got to explaining the 351C and it's 'dissimilarity to the 302'...I hate to break it to you, but if you aren't familiar with the CLEVOR engine, you CAN put 351C heads on a 302...with a bit of water porting, you start walking towards a 'garage-made BOSS 302'. The advantage of knowing the 351C's hidden aspects, is that you can take those mammoth tunnel 351C-2V heads, massage them, port for the water, and put in some flat-top pistons to make a really nice, streetable 302 (without suffering the 4,000-7.000rpm curse of the BOSS)...if you go 'all out' and select the 351-4C heads, BOSS pistons (domes at weird angles) and the right cam, you can actually make your own 'BOSS 302' (kinda). Good to know, if you want a BOSS, and can't afford the $16k of a real one!

For anyone out there stressing over getting the street or race version of this exhaust, I have both and this post may help someone out there. I was stressing over these two exhausts. I bought a 2016 Mustang GT that already had the race version on it. I did like the sound--sounded great, nice low rumble--but it was just too loud for a daily driver (especially when you gun it) and the drone on the highway got a bit much at times. I got to where I could keep it pretty mild by not going WOT and keeping the RPM down, but still it was just too loud for an old fart like me (even though, as I said, I loved the tone of the system). So I ordered MBRP's street system. After watching all the videos I could find, I was a little skeptical as to whether it would be that much quieter. And I wanted the same basic tone, just fewer DBs. Also, the videos tend to sound way raspier on the street version compared to the race version. I didn't want a raspy exhaust. As for the two systems comparing them side-by-side, the only difference is the muffler is 1 inch larger diameter on the street version. I just got the system yesterday via FedEx and installed it this morning. When I cold started it, I rolled my eyes--it sounded almost as loud as the race version. But the differences because obvious when the motor warmed, idled, and choked back. It is definitely noticeably quieter at idle, but still has that nice tone. Taking it out on the road, I was very impressed. Still has a great sound--maybe ever so slightly more raspy, but not that noticeable--that may mellow once the system gets broken in. Cruising down the highway, no noticeable drone at all (the race version has drone that is quite loud at times). Punching it, it does still get loud, but not nearly as loud as the race version. It definitely lets you know it is not the stock system, but doesn't get obnoxious at all. In fact it made me smile because it still has the sound of the race version, without being embarrassingly loud. Also, it is super easy to keep it quiet when you want. My neighbors will breath a sigh of relief. Overall, I LOVE the street version so far after a long day of driving it. It's just about perfect in tone and volume for me except maybe on cold start--but that only lasts a few seconds anyway in the warm weather. I actually bought the small mid mufflers that MBRP makes and I was going to weld them into the mid-pipe if the system was still too loud, but I don't think there is any need--I'm happy with it. I'll just put those mufflers on the shelf with my old race version system and use them for something else. I'll repost if anything significantly changes as they get broken in. But as it stands now... PERFECT. Love it.

Had a 21 HPP, got it with 3 miles on the dash. By 5,000 they had to replace the block… didn’t abuse it or anything lol don’t trust those motors. Now I have a 15 GT and love it.

Easy to remember 351W production 1969-1996, just flip the numbers. Not 1995. Also, you left out the first Windsor, the 221, as well as the failure Windsor, the 255.

Our fellow completely overlooked the fact that Aussie Clevelands were made into the mid 80's. They were the engine suppliers to Detomaso as well as the source for NASCAR that continued to use them. They came in the 302 and 351 variant and if I remember correctly shared the same deck height. The difference was in the rotating assembly. I believe it was one of the reasons why the plant was sent out to Australia as the engine was heavy compared to a Windsor and the Americans wanted the lightest small block for their own cars.

I own two a 1996 GT Coupe and a 1995 GT Vert. I bought the 1996 one week after my wife and I started dating. 147,000mi and the only thing that has ever failed was the clutch from the previous owner shortly after it was purchased. To this day it's the most reliable car I have ever owned.
